Cathy Coon is the Tax Collector for the Town of Springhill. Cathy is responsible for the billing and collection of Property and Business Taxes as well as Water Rates. Through Cathy's tax collection responsibilities, she also administers the tax sale process. Property and Business taxes are levied annually following the approval of the operating budget and setting of the tax rates. Tax rates for fiscal 2009/2010 are $2.25/$100 of assessment for residential and $5.38/$100 of assessment for commercial. Water bills are issued quarterly in January, April, July and October. Following the Utility Review Board Schedule of Rates the quarterly rate will rise to $110.67 per quarter as of April 1, 2009.
